Labour TD Sean Kenny, and Vice-chair of the Oireachtas Transport Committee, has called for an examination of what can be done to hold reckless drivers who cause delays to traffic services to account. Deputy Kenny made the comments following an episode at the Merrion gates in which truck driver with a large load of cars attempted to cross a railway junction on a bend, leading to delays. INCREASED PAY FOR SECRETARIES AND CARETAKERS IN GRANT FUNDED SCHOOLS WELCOME - KENNY

Dublin Bay North Labour TD Sean Kenny has welcomed the announcement that as a result of arbitration, school secretaries and caretakers in grant funded schools will see an increase to their pay packets. Deputy Kenny commented: "Notifications have been sent out by the Department of Education today which puts in place an increase in pay that has been recommended for School Secretaries and Caretakers, of 10% between 2016 and 2019. CSO DATA FOR OCTOBER SHOWS CONTINUED ECONOMIC RECOVERY IN DUBLIN - KENNY

Dublin Labour TD Sean Kenny has welcomed a further drop in Live Register figures, which show a steady and continuing decline between October 2014 and October of this year. "The CSO figures for October of 2014 and October of 2015 indicate unemployment continues to fall steadily with the rate dropping to 10.6%.
