KENNY CALLS ON MINISTER FOR TRANSPORT TO REVIEW DRIVER TESTING PROCEDURES

Dublin Bay North Labour TD and Member of the Oireachtas Transport Committee, Sean Kenny, has called on the Minister for Transport, Leo Varadkar, to review driver testing procedures. The call comes after an unpublished report by the Road Safety Authority revealed that the pass rate of driving test varies greatly depending on where in the country the test was taken. "The report apparently says that almost half of all learners are still failing the test. Dublin Bay North Labour Party TD Seán Kenny today welcomed the news that the Irish Coast Guard is developing a new iPhone App with the potential to save lives at sea. The App which has already been 3-4 months in development has now commenced live trials and a cross-section of people across Ireland are testing it.
