Dublin Bay North Labour TD Seán Kenny has welcomed the provision of grants in Bayside and Priorswood under the 2013 Local Agenda 21 Environmental Partnership Fund.

"The Community Development Programme Priorswood has had a grant of €1000 made to it for its Outreach Centre Garden. Improvements to the Community Garden will be made by planting more flowers and shrubs and building a pond."

"Another award of €2,420 has been made to Bayside Junior National School for the conservation, restoration and development of the school garden which involves replacement of 20 year old railway sleepers in the garden and increases the height of raised beds for children with limited mobility."

"The Local Agenda 21 Environmental Partnership Fund promotes sustainable development in our local communities by assisting small scale, non-profit environmental projects at local level. Funding goes to a wide range of local initiatives; including community gardens, waste reduction and biodiversity projects."

"I'm delighted that funding being provided under this year's scheme has been increased as funding such as this can help to make these projects happen and can assist the good work that's being done in our local communities."
