Dublin Bay North Labour TD and member of the Oireachtas Committee on Communications, Sean Kenny, has welcomed the announcement that Acorn, a leading marketing agency, will double its workforce in Ireland from around 100, to 200 staff over the next five years.

"In addition to new management staff as well as Human Resources, IT and finance roles, Acorn will be seeking creative and digital design, planning, research and campaign production skills in Dublin."

"Yet again, we have another company in the tech sector expanding in Ireland. An essential part of the Government's Action Plan for Jobs involves multinational companies strengthening their ties to Ireland, and over the last couple of years, 12,000 jobs have been added to the tech sector because of this policy."

"Acorn have been supported in its move by IDA Ireland, who I want to praise for the huge amount of work they have undertaken to increase jobs in the tech sector here, and I know there will be more announcements in the future because of this work."
