Dublin Bay North Labour TD Sean Kenny has welcomed the announcement
that the Government is intervene to find fair and equitable solutions
for Priory Hall homeowners and for the future of the complex.

"Senior officials in the Department of the Environment have been asked
to initiate dialogue that includes representatives of Dublin City
Council, the Irish Banking Federation, NAMA, the former residents of
Priory Hall and other stakeholders and to report back to the
Government within three weeks with a proposed resolution."

"It has become clear that, regrettably, the resolution process under
that was undertaken by Mr Justice Finnegan has not been able to
identify a basis that was able to deal with the various matters
involved in the Priory Hall issue."

"The most urgent need is to identify a solution for the former
owner-occupiers of Priory Hall, who have been stuck in a totally
unacceptable position. All parties involved in Priory Hall, have been
asked to come together in good faith. It is vital that the former
residents are facilitated in as timely a manner as possible so that
they can put this behind them and get on with their lives."

"I hope that, after repeatedly raising this matter in the Dail and
also with various Ministers over the past few years, that this is
finally the beginning of the end of the terrible situation the
residents of Priory Hall are in."
