Sean Kenny, the Dublin Bay North Labour TD and member of the Oireachtas Transport Committee, has welcomed the proposal by Dublin City Council to review the current Bye-Laws for Taxi Ranks.

"Dublin City Council is inviting submissions from members of the public on the provision of taxi ranks in the Dublin City Council area. The submissions received from this public consultation period will be taken into consideration in the development of new draft Bye-Laws. There will be a second public consultation period later this year on the details of the proposed new draft Bye-Laws."

"More details can be found on the Dublin City Council website at - http://consultation.dublincity.ie/traffic-and-transport/2014-taxi-rank-bye-law-review/consult_view and the closing date for submissions is March 31st."

"Suggestions may be made in writing, to the Executive Manager, Dublin City Council, Roads & Traffic Department, Floor 6, Block 2, Civic Offices, Wood Quay, Dublin 8, or by e-mail to traffic@dublincity.ie and I would encourage everyone interested in this issue to make a submission - the city that we live in is a better place when members of the public have a say in how things are run and managed."
