Dublin Bay North Labour Party T.D., and member of the Oireachtas Communications Committee, Sean Kenny, has welcomed news that Quantcast, a digital advertising company, are to establish their EMEA operations centre in Dublin, with 100 jobs being created as a result.

"Information Technology is a key sector targeted in the Government's Action Plan for Jobs, and we are determined to build on the major successes in this area in recent years. Within IT, data analysis is a sector in which major growth is predicted in the coming years, and in which Ireland has significant competitive advantages based on the existing base of information technology companies, our skilled workforce and public funded research in this area."

"Dublin offers an excellent combination of a vibrant local technology business environment, an exceptional talent pool, and accessibility to Europe, all of which are instrumental in the decision by Quantcast to base themselves here. We have seen this already with Facebook and Google, both big players in the Dublin tech sector, as well as other announcements over the last few months. Quantcast is the latest, and I am very confident there will be more to come as the technology sector in Dublin continues to expand."
