Dublin North East Labour Party TD has welcomed today's Supreme Court decision that continues the support that Dublin City Council is required to give the Priory Hall Residents.

"The Supreme Court has this afternoon put the hearing date for further court hearings on the matter, back to a date in the next law term which starts in October. This means that the High Court Order for funding, rent differential and storage charges therefore remains in place.

"I am pleased that the residents will not at this stage be forced to default on their mortgage payments which would adversely affect their credit ratings. Priory Hall is still a huge concern but I understand that efforts are ongoing to resolve the situation.

"I hope that a solution will be found before the Appeal is heard that will ensure the residents are not forced to default, and indeed, get
justice for the terrible situation that they have been forced to endure through absolutely no fault of their own."
