Dublin North East Labour Party T.D. Sean Kenny today welcomed the news that funding was being made available for the Clonshaugh Road.
"The Clonshaugh Road has been in need of further work for some time now, and I am delighted to hear that funding that was sought in order to commence this additional work has now been released.
"Dublin City Council carried out improvement works on Clonshaugh Road in recent years. The works were carried out on the upper and lower sections of the road as these were in very poor condition. It is now proposed to upgrade the central portion to the same standards as the other 2 sections. Work will include footpath and carriageway construction. The estimated cost of the work is €670,000 and the grant in the current year will allow work to commence on this during the summer."
"On Budget day last December it was announced that essential maintenance of public roads would be the priority and this is why the funding has been sought and released."
