Dublin North East Labour TD, Sean Kenny has welcomed the news that €135,000 of funding for works at Raheny Village & Harmonstown Road was approved recently.

"Work on modelling of how Santry River flows will undertaken, as well as work the river culvert at Harmonstown Road and upstream of Harmonstown Bridge, as well as works between Howth Road and Raheny Main Street, which includes the raising of embankments, replacement of walls and flap valves on pipe outlets."

"All this work is designed to protect Raheny and Harmonstown from flooding risk. We have seen recently that the risk of flooding is real and when it occurs, causes immense damage and upset in people's lives."
